Over half a century ago a group of motorcyclists had a vision to form a club in Schuylkill County.

This club would be a bit different compared to the general cycle club of the day. It would be family oriented with members children playing a part in the club’s activities.
There would of course be no cursing or swearing, if possible. The wearing of colors of the 1% to any club functions was not what this club was all about.

The name of the club came about as the last one standing. So, the Schuylkill County Motorcycle Club was born.

Special thanks to Carl, Fern, Dennis, and Carol Schaeffer for their unrelenting help to make it all possible.  Startup meetings were held at Carl & Fern Schaeffer’s Harley shop.

There were many members who were valuable in so many ways over the years, it would be a tough chore to list them all.

As so many that are no longer with us, Richard (Dick) Moyer was the architect/builder in charge of the construction of the club house. His family and all our club members to this day are deeply involved with the running of the club and the maintenance of club grounds.

As always, it is our members that make the Schuylkill County Motorcycle Club what it is today.
