What is a block shoot?

We get that question a lot. 

Also often called a turkey shoot. (Back in the day they gave frozen turkeys away as prizes. Today we give away cash prizes.)  At a block shoot participants use a shotgun to shoot at a block of wood with an X drawn on it. The shooter that lands there shot closest to the center of the X wins!
